  	Note from Ian Browness: 1. The witnesses to George Robt's and Annie's wedding were Henry and Mary Jane M Hawkins (née Morley), a young married couple with (at the time) two young children (Henry Morley, 2, and Blanche Harriet, 1), of their own. The source of Hawkins' relationship to George and/or Annie is unknown (given Henry's occupation while in Plymouth, perhaps they met back in London through Henry Foster, George's grandfather, also a metal-worker), but they were clearly close, as George and Annie later named their first son "George Henry" (the first use of "Henry" in either the Browness or How family lines). Henry Hawkins had married Mary Jane in Shoreditch, London, in the Spring of 1876; both had been born in London, but by 1880/1881 were living in Plymouth on Exeter Street where Henry was working as a Machine Ruler Printer(?); the family was evidently wealthy (by Browness standards, anyway), as along with their two children, the 1881 Census shows the family with an inside maid as well. By the 1891 Census, the family was back in London (Knoyle Street, in St Paul Deptford) and Henry was working as a Tea Cooper & Grocer; added to the first children, both still alive, were two new sons, Walter Charles, age 4 (in 1891) and Sidney James (age 2).
